What Are My FieldTask Filters Used For?

Filters in FieldTask make it easier to narrow down the information displayed on a page so you can focus on the data you need. Instead of searching through long lists of jobs, customers, or organization members, you can use filters to quickly find relevant information.

Depending on the page, FieldTask allows you to filter information by criteria such as date, assignee, job status, customer, location, and more.

Filters and filtering options are available on the following pages.

Dashboard

The Dashboard gives you an overview of key statistics for your organization.

You can filter data for Top Performers, Jobs, and Top Customers by the following time periods:

  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly
  • Yearly

Jobs in Map

The Jobs in Map page displays your assigned jobs on a map based on each job's assigned location.

You can filter the jobs displayed on the map by job status:

  • All Jobs
  • Unscheduled Jobs
  • Scheduled Jobs
  • In Progress Jobs
  • Completed Jobs

You can also filter jobs by:

  • Assignee
  • Location
  • Date

Dispatch

The Dispatch page provides a map view of your assigned jobs and shows how many jobs are associated with each member of your organization. This can help you identify members with heavier workloads and members who may be available for additional jobs.

You can filter the jobs displayed on the Dispatch map by:

  • All Jobs
  • Unscheduled Jobs
  • Scheduled Jobs
  • In Progress Jobs
  • Completed Jobs

Additional filtering options include:

  • Location Pin Labels
  • All Member Appointments
  • Distance of Job from Office
  • Distance of Job from Last Job

Scheduling

The Scheduling page provides a calendar-based view of the jobs assigned to your organization members.

You can switch between the following views:

  • Monthly View
  • Weekly View
  • Daily View
  • Map View

You can also view your unscheduled jobs from the Unscheduled collapsible panel on the right side of the page. Jobs can be dragged from this panel onto the date on which you want to schedule them.

Routes

The Routes section contains FieldTask's member tracking and route optimization features. The available filters depend on the feature you are using.

Route Map

The Route Map shows the route traveled by a member between job check-in and check-out.

You can filter the Route Map by:

  • Date
  • Assignee

Live Location

The Live Location page provides two filtering options:

  • Live Employees: Shows members who are currently working on a job in the field.
  • Last Detected Position: Shows the last tracked location of a member who has finished a job and clocked out.

Route Optimization

The Route Optimization page allows you to optimize routes for yourself or your organization members when multiple jobs are scheduled for the same day. This helps determine an efficient job order and route to follow.

Filters are available in two areas of Route Optimization.

Route Optimization Page

The Route Optimization page includes a Date Picker. Selecting a date displays the routes that were created for that particular day.

When creating an optimized route, you can filter by:

  • Date: Select the day for which the optimized route will be created.
  • Assignee: Select the member or members for whom you want to create the route.

Timesheets

The Timesheets section provides an organized view of the time recorded by members of your organization.

Available filters depend on the timesheet view you are using.

Daily

The Daily view shows the time worked by your members for a particular day.

You can filter the Daily timesheet by:

  • Date
  • Assignee

Weekly

The Weekly view shows member timesheets across a one-week period.

The Custom view allows you to view timesheets across a custom date range of up to three months.

Approval

The Approval section displays timesheets that require approval from an admin. Only timesheets belonging to members whose timesheets have been configured for approval checks will appear here.

The Approval section is divided into two pages.

Awaiting

The Awaiting page displays timesheets that are currently waiting for approval.

You can filter this page by:

  • Date Range, covering a maximum of three months
  • Assignee

History

Attendance

The Attendance page displays a table containing attendance information for your organization members, including their date, clock-in time, clock-out time, and duration.

You can filter the Attendance page by:

  • Attendance Type

  • Date Range

Payroll

The Payroll section displays members with pending payments and is divided into three sections.

Hourly Payment

The Hourly Payment page displays pending payments for members who are paid by the hour.

You can filter this page by:

  • Member
  • Date Range

Fixed Payment

The Fixed Payment page displays payment information for members who are paid a fixed amount rather than by the hour.

History

The History page maintains a record of payments that have been made through either the

Jobs

The Jobs module is divided into three sections: All Jobs, Job Proofs, and Proximity.

All Jobs

The All Jobs page displays your scheduled and unscheduled jobs.

You can filter this page by:

  • Job Type
    • All Jobs
    • Unscheduled Job
  • Job Status
  • Job Assignee
  • Date Range
  • Customer

Job Proofs

The Job Proofs page displays jobs that require approval and allows you to view the proofs submitted for each job.

Proximity

The Proximity page allows you to assign jobs based on the proximity of your organization members.

You can switch between:

  • Scheduled

If the Allow reassigning already assigned jobs option is enabled, the Scheduled view will also display already assigned jobs that can be reassigned.

The Invoice page displays a list of invoices that have been created.

It is divided into the following tabs:

  • Active: Displays members who are currently active in your organization.
