How to Add Line Items to a Job on the FieldTask Mobile App?

Learn how to add services or products as Line Items when creating a job from the FieldTask Mobile App.

Line Items allow you to add specific services or products to a job. You can define what needs to be completed, set quantities and prices, and choose whether Job Proof is required before a Line Item can be marked as complete.

To add Line Items, you must first create a job from the FieldTask Mobile App.

To add a Line Item to a job:

• Continue through the job creation process until you reach the Items & Documents section.
• Tap Add Item.

The Line Item Form will appear.

Line Item Details

Enter the following information:

• Choose whether the Line Item is:
• • A Service
  • A Product
• Enter the Item Name:
• • If the Line Item already exists under Products in the FieldTask Web App, it will appear when you tap the Item Name drop-down.
  • If it does not already exist, simply enter the Line Item name manually.
• Enter the Quantity.
• Enter the Unit Price:
• • For existing Line Items in FieldTask Products, the available unit prices for each product package will be shown.
  • For a Line Item that does not already exist, enter the Unit Price manually.
• Enter a Description, if needed.
• • This field is optional.
• Choose whether the Line Item requires Job Proof before it can be marked as completed.

Add Multiple Line Items

You can add multiple Line Items to a single job.

After creating a Line Item, tap Add Item below the most recently added Line Item to add another one.
